Sunday Morning

You are always welcome to join us, in the building or virtually through our Facebook livestream, for worship.

Our worship service starts at 10am on Sundays, though punctuality is not required.

As you arrive, there is usually parking in our lot.  If not, there is street parking available in the community around us or extra parking in the lot across the street.

When you enter the building you will notice people greeting one another and you and a sense of friends catching up on each other’s lives.

Our volunteer greeters will be happy to help you find a seat (though any open seat is free to use) and can orient you to the building, including how to use the lift or where to find washrooms. (Building accessibility info link)

As our worship starts, the clergy person or lay reader leading the service will offer a welcome and any reminders or notes about the service that day.

We use a projector to share the worship service and hymn lyrics.

One thing that is unique to St Paul’s is we have an exuberant exchange of the peace shortly after the welcome.  You’ll see people moving out of their pews and exchanging handshakes, peace signs, nods, or hugs with one another.  You are welcome to participate as you are comfortable.

Anglican worship has a history of movement and people will sit, stand, kneel, cross themselves, and move around the worship space during the service.  We gather to worship God together, so we do not announce what people should do at any point because what helps you worship God this morning might be different.  We know it can feel weird to have people around you doing something you aren’t, so we promise to trust that whatever you are doing is the best thing to support your worship this morning.

Note about communion reception

Invitation to coffee hour.

Still intimidated?  It’s hard to walk into a new church on a Sunday morning.  Joining us via our livestream (or just watching a past livestream) might help you know what to expect.  Or Reverend Robyn would be happy to talk with you about your faith journey and how St Paul’s might be a part of that.
